6 x 8 7/8. A broadside advertisement printed 85 years after the foundation of the town that has been known as Penfield, New York since 1810 (it was previously called Northfield, changed to Boyle in 1808, and was divided into several towns in 1810). The company that printed the ad, Fairport Herald, was a newspaper that was only 6 years old at the time (it used this name from 1873-1925). The broadside mentions ice cream was served, which is an interesting note given that ice cream was just becoming popular - the first American ice cream factory was not opened until 1851, and industrial refrigeration was not available until the 1870s. Before these innovations, it was considered a luxury. Appears unrecorded - none located in OCLC.
