35 pp. The author's first collection of poetry, released shortly after the publication of her popular short story The Man to Send Rain Clouds. Includes illustrations by the author and Aaron Yava. The work was re-released on its twenty-year anniversary, but without the Yava illustrations. Silko, a Laguna Pueblo, was the first recipient of the MacArthur Foundation 'Genius' Grant, and is widely acknowledged as an important force in the Native American Renaissance.
