Campe (author of the New Robinson Crusoe) by Elizabeth Helme (author of The History of England, Scotland, Rome, &c. &c.), with the translator's last corrections and improvements. A history of the Spanish conquistador Hernando Cortez [Cortez], presented as a dialogue in which a father explains the events to his children. Notable for the included fold-out map showing early 19th century territories such as New Navarre and New Biscay, and depictions of New Mexico and Louisiana that preceded the modern boundaries for these states.
