This anthology contains twenty five classic stories first published in Galaxy in the years 1950 to1976, together with introductions by Frederik Pohl and Horace L. Gold. These stories were selected as representative of Galaxy magazine over the nearly thirty years of its existence. There is also one example of Algis Budrys’ regular column. In addition there is a comprehensive index (by author) to every story, article and book review in all the issues from October 1950 to May 1979. A particular bonus of the anthology is that many of the authors have added a personal memoir reminiscing on Horace Gold and Galaxy, and how they came to write their story.
