When Nova's father told her to run away with the baby, she hides in her closet alone. Nova is only six years old.Her family that is suppose to be protected by the Renegades don't come in time to save her and her family. They are all killed . Her uncle finds her holding a gun on the man who killed her family. He kills him. The Renegades are people with special powers/abilities also known as prodigies. Most people were afraid of them.
