[x], 143, [1] pp. 8vo. A collection of poetry written while the author spent a month in the intensive care unit, after being told he was dying of cancer and had only weeks to live. Though he exceeded this estimate by a good margin, he was too sick to accept the Marjorie Peabody Waite award of the National Institute of Arts and Letters later that year. His health never fully recovered, and he passed away in 1973.
