Sitting Bull wanted peace, but was driven by the white man's treachery to lead his braves into a war that saw one of the U.S. Army's worst defeats at Little Big Horn. Then the great chief was murdered, and an enigmatic new leader promised his people a return to the joys of the old buffalo days.
