[xxiv], 432 pp. 3 3/16 x 3 15/16. A collection of hymns by the English Methodist leader instrumental in the religious revival of the 18th century and the Methodist movement in England and Wales. She founded an evangelical branch in England and Sierra Leone, known as the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion. Her money helped fund and guide the evolution of early Methodism, and she was first principal of Trevecca College, Wales, which trained Methodist ministers. She regularly corresponded with John Wesley and George Whitefield.
