Alexandria Houses: 1750-1830

Alexandria contains many classic examples of Colonial and Federal architecture, including Mount Vernon, Washington's Town House, Christ Church, and the Robert E. Lee House and Henry Lee House. The exterior and interior architectural details of these homes are presented here in order to illustrate the classic elements of mid-Georgian design that distinguish the best domestic architecture of the period.
