234 pp. Blind-stamped dark brown leather, gilt titles and decorations. An account of Davy Crockett's tour of the United States in the 1830s, leading up to his unsuccessful run for a seat in Congress. The 'experiment' he refers to in the title is the enactment of Andrew Jackson's economic policies. After his loss, Crockett remarked that, while he would go to Texas, his detractors could go to Hell. Some attribute the actual writing of this work to Crockett's friend Augustin S. Clayton.
