The first of three volumes, treating the origins of British society, customs, and manners, with engraved plates entitled 'Latimer preaching' and 'Woe to Drunkards.' Malcolm was a topographer and engraver, and much of his work was printed in the Gentleman's Magazine in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
