"The following letters chronicle the adventures of a party -- consisting of Daniel E. Pomeroy, of New York, Dr. Audley D. Stewart, of Rochester, and the writer -- which left New York on the 13th of March, 1926. Stewart and Eastman returned to Rochester on the 24th of October, 1926." "George Eastman (July 12, 1854 - March 14, 1932) founded the Eastman Kodak Company and invented roll film, helping to bring photography to the mainstream. The roll film was also the basis for the invention of the motion picture film in 1888 by world's first filmmaker, Louis Le Prince, and a decade later by his followers Leon Bouly, Thomas Edison, the Lumiere Brothers and Georges Melies."
