Horatio Viscount Nelson Commemorative Medal in Case

A commemorative medal made from copper melted down from Lord Nelson's flagship Foudroyant. The obverse reads 'Horatio Viscount Nelson, Born 29 September 1758, Died 27 Octboer 1805' with a very small number along the bottom edge that is difficult to discern. The reverse reads 'Foudroyant, Lord Nelson's Flagship. Commenced Building 1789. Launched at Plymouth April 1798. Wrecked at Blackpool June 16th 1897. Medal struck from copper of vessel after breaking up.'
