In Praise of Older Women: The Amorous Recollections of Andras Vajda

Set mostly in post-WWII central Europe, this story, narrated by Andras Vajda, now a middle-aged professor living in Michigan, is about his teenage and university years, in particular his sexual awakening and adventures. The war disrupted all of European society with the status and good fortune of almost everyone altered to some degree. In some respects it is this disruption and increased vulnerability that permitted Andras to find spaces to grow.
