The British East India Company's conquest of Sri Lanka, which the British called Ceylon, occurred during the wars of the French Revolution (1792–1801). In 1802 Ceylon was made a crown colony, and, by the Treaty of Amiens with France, British possession of maritime Ceylon was confirmed.--Britannica","brand":"A Studio Book \/ The Viking Press","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":40393499705414,"sku":"2329192","price":45.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1232\/9510\/products\/2329192.jpg?v=1667865082","url":"https:\/\/ym-demo.myshopify.com\/products\/island-ceylon","provider":"Yesterday's Muse","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
