A transcript of lectures by the British physician, originally delivered at the Anatomical School, Kinnerton Street, near St. George's Hospital during the spring seasons of 1836 and 1837. Only published in book form in the United States. Williams was a Fellow of both the Royal Society and the College of Physicians, and served as president of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society for several years. He was among the first to adopt new techniques for physical examination, and became a specialist in the field discussed in this book.
