vii, [1], 17-536 pp. Blue-green cloth, gilt and red titles and accents, color cameo portrait of Queen Victoria inset on front board, marbled edges, decorated endpapers, engraved illustrations throughout. A biography of Queen Victoria, with a life of King Edward VI and biographical sketches of other members of the royal family. Illustrations throughout. Several versions of this work seem to have been printed, including ones attributing authorship to Arthur Lawrence Merrill under nearly the exact same title, and published in the same year. This sort of duplication is common with books dealing with tragedies of the moment (e.g., the sinking of the Titanic, the San Francisco earthquake, etc.), and was likely the result of a rush to print.
