Part One includes such topics as: the history of the Persian carpet, what sort of carpet should I choose', on buying a carpet, prices, the symbols, the dyes, illustrative carpets, inscriptions, the technique of weaving carpets, some suggestions and advice. Part Two gives overviews of carpets woven in forty different villages throughout Iran including Abadeh, Hamadan, Nain, and Tabriz. The descriptions are accompanied by excellent photographs of the carpets.
