Originally published in 1827 in two volumes, a third volume followed in 1832 - this set includes first editions of all three volumes. Sir Jonah Barrington was an Irish lawyer who opposed the Act of Union of 1800, and remains the only person removed from the judiciary by both Houses of Parliament (1830). These memoirs are notable for including biographical sketches of Irish people from various backgrounds.
