Additional engraved title page precedes title page of each volume. An extensive visual tour of America (the United States and Canada), edited by William Cullen Bryant, a well-known 19th poet and journalist who edited the New York Evening Post. Included throughout are numerous very well executed steel engraved plates and woodcuts depicting various landscapes, structures, and scenes throughout America, contributed by artists such as Harry Fenn and F.O.C. Darley.
