{"product_id":"show-cases-showcases","title":"Show Cases [Showcases]","description":"198 pp. 8vo. Original boards - yellow cloth with decorated paper over boards, featuring black-, red- and gilt-striped design, red top edge. A collection of six short 'cases' by the French intellectual, whose daughter Tanaquil danced with the New York City Ballet. All are stories of encounters with American expatriates in Paris during the 1920s, these were originally published in various literary magazines, including the American Mercury. These are fictionalized accounts, but were likely inspired by Le Clercq's own experiences, and thus create an interesting foil for Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast, which features the same crowd, but is told from the American expat perspective. On the other hand, these stories have rather strong sexual undercurrents, something not present in Hemingway's accounts.","brand":"Macy-Masius Publishers","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":41088932741190,"sku":"2341498","price":30.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1232\/9510\/products\/2341498.jpg?v=1708367149","url":"https:\/\/ym-demo.myshopify.com\/products\/show-cases-showcases","provider":"Yesterday's Muse","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
