Includes transcription of a letter by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who was associated with Spiritualism in the 1920s, when this work was originally published. This imprint is of particular interest, as it was printed in Lily Dale, New York, a hub of the Modern Spiritualist movement founded by the Fox sister. 'The Blue Island' seems to be a sort of spirit world purgatory to which W.T. Stead traveled after perishing in 1912.
