Part II, on the natural history of Virginia, reveals the author's intellectual curiosity and love of nature. Part III, on Indian life and customs, provides a favorable picture of the aborigines and advocates inter-marriage with the white race. Beverley concludes, in Part IV, with an exposition on the general and local government of Virginia.
