A 250-year history of the Boston suburb that was the largest contributor of militia to King Philip's War, and once spanned an area that included parts of what are now the towns of Wayland, Framingham, Marlborough, Stow, and Maynard. Sudbury boasts a colonial-era inn that inspired the name of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's Tales of a Wayside Inn, and was later bought by Henry Ford.
