Don Quixote (fully titled The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha), is a novel written by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. Cervantes created a fictional origin for the story by inventing a Moorish chronicler for Don Quixote named Cide Hamete Benengeli.
