Also includes sections on game fowl. Originally intended as an Americanized revision of Weir's 1903 work Our Poultry and All About Them, the editor explains in the preface that the work needed to be completely rewritten for the American market, both to incorporate American breeds like Plymouth Rocks and Wyandottes, and also to account for differing methods. Many of Weir's illustrations from that work are included here, along with some of his personal observations and practical experiences. Weir was a renowned artist, and also illustrated the 1867 work The Poultry Book by William Bernhard Tegetmeier.","brand":"Doubleday, Page \u0026 Company","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":44693938044998,"sku":"2352527","price":350.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1232\/9510\/files\/2352527.jpg?v=1772388080","url":"https:\/\/ym-demo.myshopify.com\/products\/the-poultry-book-in-three-volumes","provider":"Yesterday's Muse","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
