"Published on the occasion of an exhibition The Shaker Order of Christmas, at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City, from November 24, 1969 through January 4, 1970. The illustrations are exact facsimiles of details from the Shaker spirit drawing "An Emblem of the Heavenly Sphere" by an unknown Shaker scribe, about 1845. The original is owned by Hancock Shaker Village, Pittsford, Mass."
