A history of Geneva, New York, originally published in the thirties by the editor of the Geneva Daily Times and president of the Geneva Historical Society. The work covers from the late 18th century through the 1930s, with chapters on the Iroquois Confederacy, the Phelps and Gorham Purchase and the Holland Purchase, the city during various American wars, local businesses and citizens, etc. The later sections of the book include accounts of famous early visitors to Geneva, and biographical sketches of various residents. Useful for historical and genealogical research of the Finger Lakes region.
