viii, 252 pp. 8vo. A reprint of the author's scarce first novel, in which a murder that takes place on a golf course is investigated. Knox's works are seldom found in their original jackets, regardless of edition. The author was a priest and theologian, and published numerous religious works beginning in 1913. He also wrote six detective novels, five of which featured Miles Bredon, as well as a number of short stories, some of which appeared in Detection Club compilations.
