Complete in five volumes. 9 1/2 x 7. 8vo. Introduction by Martin Gilbert, Churchill's official biographer. Original glossy photographic bindings with gilt border facing spine, back cover and spine are light brown cloth, gilt titles with red circular volume numbers on spines, brown endpapers. Photographs and maps throughout. Churchill's extraordinary work on World War I. The text for this collector's edition is taken from the original edition published in 1923 -- the work was later distilled into a three-volume edition entitled The Great War. This edition not in Woods (released after its publication).
