An archaelogical survey of an important historic district in Rochester, New York, illustrated with color photographs, fold-out charts, diagrams, etc. Brown's Race Historic District is located along the south rim of the Genesee River gorge at High Falls. Triphammer Forge, an industrial building located in this district, was the victim of a fire in 1977, and the survey done here furthered a later rehabilitation project converting the area to a public park.
