Two photographs of the U.S.S. Shenandoah, the first American-built rigid airship (one of four total the U.S. made). Built in 1922-23, it crashed and was destroyed due to a squall in September 1925. Both photos are taken by Rell S. Clements, with his caption and photographer mark in white. He was known for these sorts of images, most of which were taken at the Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ.
