In it we find tales of how West Lake itself came about, and of the origins of Rising Sun Terrace, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and other famous sites. There are the story of Lady White (the famous White Snake of Chinese folklore) and anecdotes of the Song Dynasty poet-official Su Dongpo, and of the Qing Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong.
