[212 pp.] A collaboration of sketches and verse designed to evoke the feeling of Wisconsin. Most of the drawings were produced from 1948 to 1954, while the poems were written in 1972-1973. Edited by Mark E. Lefebvre, but without any intent to interpret the work, though themes of man and nature, woman in Wisconsin and the world, the condition of the Native American, the meaning of the Midwest, loneliness, memory, God, and a sense of the primitive emerge.
