(Will) Skinner Jr., who was wounded in the Battle of Gettysburg July 3rd 1863. Will, the oldest son of William H. Skinner and Harriet C. Skinner, was born July 25, 1841. On August 8th 1862 Will was mustered in as a private in company F 108th Infantry at Rochester, N.Y. for a service of three years. Will was 21 years old, 5'9" tall, with light hair and complexion. His occupation was listed as a farmer on land now owned by Piehler Pontiac on Lake Avenue across from Kodak Park (Hanford Landing Area). Will played the violin, liked music and was a good baseball player."
